Our Story: Six Generations of Legacy in Collbran’s Heartland
Our story is woven into the very soil of Colorado’s Plateau Valley. For six generations, our family has raised cattle on this land near Collbran, a legacy built on an unwavering work ethic, deep-rooted family values, and a profound love for the ranching life.
Roots in the Land: Collbran, Colorado
Collbran is more than just our hometown; it’s the cornerstone of our heritage. Nestled at 6,817 feet in Mesa County, this authentic mountain community has been the heart of Colorado’s cattle industry since the 1880s. With the Grand Mesa to the east and the Bookcliffs to the west, the land itself—watered by Plateau Creek and blessed with a climate perfect for ranching—has supported our family’s work for over a century. It’s a place where Western heritage isn’t just remembered; it’s lived every day.
Our Family's Journey
We are Hank, Jackie, and our two boys, Teagan and Tripp. Both growing up on ranches, we learned the ropes with Black Angus cattle and in the rodeo arena, lessons in dedication that we now pass on to our sons. After meeting in college, we spent 15 years honing our craft on the ranches of Montana, deepening our passion for the land and the animals. In 2022, the call of our heritage brought us home to Colorado, to continue our story on the very same land that has shaped our family for generations.
Our Ranching Life Today
Today, we are proud to raise high-quality Black Angus commercial cow/calf pairs, upholding the traditions we were raised with. Our passion has also led us to something new and exciting: our TNT Miniature Cattle Company. At both B4 Ranch and TNT, our goal remains simple: to raise healthy, exceptional cattle while honoring the legacy that defines us. We are not just ranchers; we are stewards of a way of life, committed to preserving the spirit of Collbran for generations to come.
